Bottom Field Stops Flat Black and Baffled

Astronomers have known for years that the best views of planets and close doubles are to be had with clear skies, a good 'scope, and the proper eyepiece for the job.
For most, that has meant Orthoscopics. To ensure the best contrast and least scatter, so critical for planetary viewing , good glass, high polish, and the fewest air/glass interfaces as possible, are essential. Although I have a Single element line eyepieces called the Planesphere this Monocentric line is going to still have definite advantages. The Planesphere might have the Theoretical edge that the single element provides for the most critical on axis viewing. But the Mono is pulling in at such a close second that if you add the other advantages it has over the Singlet EP's you realize they will always have an important place in visual Astronomy.

The Mono line gives a wider, flatter usable field to work with. More generous E.R. and 100% guarantied color correction across the field.

In short these new MonoCentrics ID are a pleasure to work with in all respects. How will they compare to other Monos on the market? They hold their own against anything out there at any price and cost about 1/3 what other quality Monos do.  See ad below.

Why use a 10mm Mono or higher with a Amplifier Click-here to find out.

* Using a scope with a lower F-ratio may limit edge of field sharpness if you don't use one of the Flattener/Amplifier. On axis sharpness will not be effected.

10mm $249.  (Brass add $40) #mo10  * Used best at F4 and higher. *

12mm $269. (Brass add $40) #mo12 Best* in scopes F4 and higher unless using an Flattener/amplifier.

14.5mm $249 (Brass add $40) #mo14.5  Best* in scopes F4 and higher unless using an Flattener/amplifier.

17.5mm $269 (Brass add $40) #mo17.5  Best* in scopes F4 and higher unless using an Flattener/amplifier.

20mm $279 (Brass add $40) #mo20     Best* in scopes F4 and higher unless using an Flattener/amplifier.

24.5mm $289 (Brass add $40) #mo24.5   Best* in scopes F4 and higher unless using an Flattener/amplifier.

  MonoCentric I.D. (Infinite-Detail) from Siebertoptics.

Some may ask why have MonoCentrics start at 10mm instead of much lower MM sizes. The Answer..  You can have the best of Both Worlds. You can have the Minimal glare and high contrast images you get with a Low MM Mono but by using the New Amplifiers/Field flatteners that are designed with a Longer F.L. and Superior Dielectric Coatings. They are also out of the range of the eyepiece elements so as not to cause interference. They are more a part of the telescope system then a mate for the eyepiece. Many scope systems are build with Internal self amplification Optics. This is a similar concept. Now you can add the advantage of the Field flattening and add Eye relief to the mix and its not hard to see how these will be a pleasure to use. For those who want to use stand alone single eyepieces in a higher power application there is always the..........These are the finial word in Critical High Resolution viewing.
